RULES

Performance Rules:

GENERAL RULES:

  1. This is NOT a competition. This is a PERFORMANCE ONLY Event.
  2. Each keerthana can be repeated only 3 times. Register quickly to have more choices.
  3. Most of the keerthanas listed in the form are available at http://bhadrachalaramadasu.com/ramadasu-nkm-108-keerthanalu/
  4. Solo performance Fees: $20 per person.
  5. Group Fees: $10 per person per song.
  6. Min group size is 3 and Max group size is 6.
  7. If a group wishes to perform multiple songs, they need to register for each song separately.
  8. REGISTRATIONS CAN BE STOPPED ANYTIME ONCE THE LIMIT IS REACHED.

MUSIC PERFORMANCE RULES:

  1. Music performances are LIVE via Zoom.
  2. Schedules, Reporting Times and Zoom Links will be shared as we near the date.
  3. Maximum Time allowed for each rendition (solo or group) is 6 minutes.
  4. Accompaniments and group singing is purely participants choice. SiliconAndhra bears no liability for any issues  related to COVID.
  5. Sruthi box accompaniment is  mandatory.

DANCE PERFORMANCE RULES:

  1. Dance performances are ALL RECORDED.
  2. We have to get the recordings one week before the event.
  3. Schedules for dance performances will be published as we near the event date.
  4. Maximum Time allowed for each performance (solo or group) is 8 minutes.
  5. Group performances are purely participants choice. SiliconAndhra bears no liability for any issues  related to COVID.
  6. SiliconAndhra reserves the right to cancel any performance in which case the fees will be refunded.

Competition Rules:

Eligibility and Categories :
Open to musicians performing Bhakta Ramadasu composed krithis only.
Sub-Junior : Age 6- 11
Junior : Age 12 – 19
Senior : Age 20 and above
Award Categories :
The vocal performance will be judged in terms of technique, presentation and overall impact.
You will be awarded points based on the following rules and places.
First Place
Second Place
Third Place

RULES – Music Vocal Competition:

  1.  For music categories electronic or regular tanpura is mandatory. Please make sure the tanpura is clearly audible in the recording. Points will be taken off if the tanpura is not audible in the recording.
  2. The video should clearly show the tala through out the rendition. The hand should be clearly visible. Please make sure there is no lag in the voice and the video during the recording.
  3. Basic accompaniment is not mandatory but you can feel free to have it.
  4. Try to have a plain background or have a Ramadasu or Rama picture frame.
  5. Krithi rendition is 5 to 7 min.
  6. Registration Fee of participation is based on the entry. Each applicant can submit more than one entry if he/she chooses.
  7. Entries are all krithi renditions only. No manodharma allowed in this category.
  8. Traditional dressing is mandatory

RULES – Dance Competition :

  1.  The dance can be submitted to recorded music. Live music is not mandatory but you can feel free to have it. For dance categories music should be heard very clearly.
  2. The video should clearly show the expressions on the face, the mudras on the hands and the feet movement for each step. The judging will be done on what is visible in the video recording.
  3. Try to have a plain background or have a Ramadasu or Rama picture frame.
  4. Performance should be 10-12 min max.
  5. Registration Fee of participation is based on the entry. Each applicant can submit more than one entry if he/she chooses.
  6. Entries are all individual krithi performances only. No ballet allowed in this category.
  7. Traditional dressing is mandatory.

Submission deadlines:

  • Competition Launch Date : Jan 31st 2017
  • Last date for the submissions should be March 1st 2017
  • Results will be announced in SiliconAndhra Ugadi Celebrations

Application Fee :
$25 per individual entry and $35 for group entries. Non-refundable.
